Sarah DiBenedetto

Sarah DiBenedetto is a middle school guidance counselor in the Cleveland area, where she has worked since 2009. Prior to that, she taught middle and high school language arts in Florida and Ohio for 10 years.

Serving as a Power of the Pen coach since 2010 has allowed her to combine her love for supporting middle schoolers’ academic and social emotional well being with her passion for writing. She is continually amazed by the creativity that comes from Power of the Pen writers.

In addition, Sarah is an Advisor for the WEB program (Where Everybody Belongs), an 8th grade leadership program that provides training for 8th graders to mentor the 6th grade class. Also, she has coordinated the Challenge Day Program for the district since 2010.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her two children and her husband John. Living in Hudson, Ohio, a favorite activity is adventuring outside to one of the many nearby hiking trails. Sarah and her husband are avid CrossFit athletes and they enjoy traveling the country to attend the concerts of their favorite bands.
