2026 T-Shirt Design Contest Opens February 23!

New in 2026, Power of the Pen will be hosting a T-Shirt Design Contest! This contest officially opens on February 23rd -- open to all Power of the Pen students, contestants and runners alike -- with the submission deadline set for Sunday, March 15th. Students (and coaches), here's a few things to remember...

• A parent/guardian must be logged in to submit the Google form. Some schools' IT settings may block students from submitting their poetry with their school email address.
• Designs must be the student's own original work, without the use of AI tools or image generators.
• Preferred format is Illustrator (AI) or EPS file. PNG will be accepted. If you are scanning an original drawing, please make sure the scan is high resolution. 
• Designs must fit within an 11 x 13 inch area to be displayed on the front of the shirt. Printing on sleeves/shirt back is not part of the scope of the contest.
• Students may enter one submission only.

T-Shirt design submissions will be judged by members of the Power of the Pen Executive Team, who will select a pool of finalists. Selected finalists' designs will be announced on March 18th, and included in a poll for the Power of the Pen community to decide the official winner.

The winning student and their design will be recognized and awarded their prize at the 2026 State Tournament.
